Anyone have a PIAA air dam?
I been thinking about getting a PIAA air dam and was wondering what you guys know about them? I thought it would look nice with my Bull Bar. I was wondering how easy it is to put on? I also don't want something that you can tell that is totally an aftermarket piece where the lines or edges match up. And I was wondering which PIAA lights fit in the outboard light holes the best? Thanks for your help guys. Eric
a couple of guys have them here. The one that comes to top of mind is "mattadams". They look fantastic!
As far as which ones fit the best, I think PIAA's website identifies recommended lights for outboard and inboard positions.

I got a PIAA airdam last year. I love it. I actually bought it through a group purchase from Matt Adams. It fits almost just like a stock airdam.
I put the 510 pencil beam lights in the inboard positions and the 520 fogs in the outer. Easy to install...installed the airdam and lights one night then wired them up and pointed them the next. The airdam comes with the brackets that you need. By tapping into the parking lights, I can have the fogs/pencil beams on with only the parking lights on.
I don't regret getting my airdam at all...I've never seen another truck like mine around (which was what I was going for)!

Just like the others said. No regrets at all and holds up well against knicks and chips. The outboard holes are about 7.25" round. I have the Pro80xt's in mine BUT the included mounting brackets don't really accomidate them very well.
Not like Piaa states. Anyway, I got them to fit by turning them upside down. If you got with the 520's or similar you won't have a problem. I'm waiting for a warm day soon
so I can install a billet grille in the opening.

I really haven't figured out what size it'll fit. I just bought a 97-98 F150 Stull grille and plan on cutting it to fit the airdam opening. I'm sure this will be a fun project.

Thanks Guys....
I believe the air dam will be my next addition to my truck. I found one at a local shop for around $220. And then there is the cost of paint. I'm also going to have a clear bug shield painted at the same time. I just need to deceide what lights to go with. Thanks again guys. Eric
sorry I haven't been around lately. Yeah I can get them for you, let me know which lights you are interested in and I can try and work up a price for you.
I just painted mine this weekend but it didn't turn out too well (not the airdams fault, I'm blaming the place I got the paint from because it just turned out a little too light). Here's some pics:

You'll notice some different lights I"mt esting out int he outboard position of the airdam. Only problem is they just a little too big for that hole, and they cost about as much as the PIAA's. It's been too cold for me to devote too much time to it lately though.
By the way I've had mine for over a year and have had no problems with it.
You can email me at mattadams@pcisys.com for some pricing.
