Cool Installed some Crystal eyes headlights!

Well I got them for my B-day and put them on this weekend. I must say the headlights look awesome! Definately a little different from all the L headlights on the board (although I really love that style too, but $$$!). The crystal corners kinda suck quality wise but their good for now. I'm thinking of replacing them with the L ones when $ allows, but I'll see.

They were $170 + s&h on ebay. I hope I don't cause a stampede for these headlights now! I only know of two others on the boards with these lights. I also won some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs on ebay today, those should work real well with the new lenses.

crystal eyes

Yep, I have them too, have had them on since about June. Try yahoo auctions, I found them there, for $190, including the bulbs, corners and shipping.

From the looks of everyones pics all the corners all look like crap (foggy I mean)! I wonder how the led's would look in the corners? I remember about a year ago Phillips had some new prototype bulbs, when they were off were silver and when on were amber! I wonder if they got all the bugs worked out? Anyone else see or hear of these? I'm going to check their website.

corners

Yeah, the corners really suck now. They have become discolored, kinda yellow, and look like they are all scratched up. I will probably find a new set on ebay sometime soon, they are pretty cheap. I have the superwhite bulbs, from APC, and they suck bad too. Look like a dim white bulb when on, then are pretty bright when the turn signal is on, like what they should look like with just the parking lights on. My buddy has xenon bulbs in his corners, and they look awesome. If anyone can find these bulbs in our size, these would look the best in my opinion. Also, if you do find them, let me know, I'd like to get some.

They look good bt I would think that the same company that make the corners makes the headlights. I would be a bit concerned that if your corners are turning than your headlights might too in the very near future. I think if your dropping two hundered bucks already you might as well drop another 80 and buy the L ones. But thats just my .02 Hope they last for you guys

BTW how do the work at night is the light output as good or better than the factory light?

Insiner8,
The headlights are very nice, no leaks or discoloration, so far. It seems they are of better build quality than the corners, not sure why they haven't turned yet, and they do not seem to be. The light output seems to be as good as factory, if not better. I have had the superwhite bulbs in for awhile, and cannot really remember the factory lighting.

Yeah, the headlights are far more superior to the corners! I don't know why they couldn't make the corners the same quality? I have some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs coming so that should be a huge improvement. Also the lights are not aligned properly, but they do seem to shine more light!

Thumbs up

I've got a set of those headlights too, the light output is much better than stock! I put in some Eurolites Xenons, and it's amazing how bright the headlights are now I just lost the low beam on one bulb the other day, and the replacements I got were kind of disappointing. They are "Hiper" brand bulbs, or is that "Hyper"?? Whatever the spelling, they are not as bright as the Eurolites, IMO.,,,,98

Yeah, I installed them on my 99 Expedition but the halo effects only lasted about a week. I could order a replacement ring from ebay. There is also a gap in the lights. I want to order a new set but I'm too busy tricking out my 2005 F150 STX now. Hope this helps.
