KarKraft Kit

Hello, I was just wondering if at all possible to put the Karkraft kit on my 98 model F150 I heard a guy on here said all he did was by the lightning front bumper cover and grilles and just took the rubber molding off the 98 bumper and put the Lightning one over it with no problem. Is it at all possible, the reason Im asking is that I just recently hit a deer and I have got around 2000 form insurance to fix it but would rather put something else other than stock back on it. Thanks

Or if you know of any other kits like the one above

Even if I have to do the hole frontend swap I should still get out for under 1000 dollars I think dont you. Yea the deer was kind of a good thing I really didnt have the money to do the swap but always wanted to.

Well this looks right up my alley ok here it goes
First i went to Bumperauto.com they sell after market bumpers. they say there ford parts over stock ok i was a little worried. I got it in and it was perfect and i got the bumper for less shipped than it cost from ford parts online. They also sell the grille shell that you will need. You can do all of this youself Its quite simple except for the paint job.
Then i went to fordpartsonline.com and ordered the 2001 ford lightning bumper cover upper and lower fog light brackes for the right and left side. The Bumper mount brackets left and right side, And the plastic pieces that mount by clipping on to the grille shell its just a little plastic piece you should be able to find it, Then last but not least the 2001 fog lights left and righ.
I would not order the lower grill for the lightning because they want as much for it as they want for the whole top grille assy. anyways I went to Billetsuperstore.com and called them up and finished up my ordering

In all i spent about 1500 that includes getting the bumper cover painted and everything...
oops allmost forgot one thing if you do not have fog lights there is an easy way to hook em up buy a fog light wireing kit and instead of useing a swith by take the wire that should come from the switch and connect it to the middle wire on the park lights its brown i think...use a tester for it then when you turn on the park lights your fogs come on. I did it and everything works great

?I wrote this much because i know how much of a pain it was for me to get all of this done and wanted to save you some time i wish you good luck and if you have anymore questions i will try and answer them i should have pics up pretty soon of what i did.

Also anyone looking for a 97-98 bumper and grill assy for their ford i got one and will sell it for 350$ it was involved in a lil wreck but i will take a lot of pics to ease your minds its in good condition no bends but i sure messed up that toyota 20 mph wreck hehe

Big question

Ok this might be a big question but do you have the parts list where you got everything. That would be awesome, also did you but billet grilles in both both and top bumper holes or did you use stock ones if so how much was those items also. Thanks again.

If you do post here it here, or email the list.

Ok heres the parts numbers and what they are just get all of these
XL3Z-17a861-AA
XL3Z-17a861-AB Fill assyembly the thingy that goes under the grille shell

XL3Z-17E856-aa
XL3Z-17E856-ab should be the pastic v shaped bumper cover brackets fits right ontop of the bumper
1L3Z-17E857-BA
1L3Z-17E856-BA not exactly sure but these 4 i seperated are the bumper cover brackets

XL3Z-17B985-AC
XL3Z-17B984-AA these are the bumper mount brackes

1L3Z-17D957-BB This is your bumper cover

I do not have the numpers on the fog lights but when you talk to the guy i think he is Gary Starr tell him you need the 2001 fog lights. He is a good guy he did me well.

Important thing to not here man is that you need to keep all the bolts and nuts you take off of your old bumper cuz your going to need them if there messed up you will need to order them

I put billet grills in top and bottom because it cost less to get 2 billet grilles than it did to get the factory ford lightning grill for the bumper. it cost like 220 or something like that shipped from billetsuperstore.com

Duh i forgot to tell you www.fordpartsonline.com thats where that stuff is ordered
