Raptor Bumper on 04-08

Hey guys,

I purchased a decent Raptor bumper recently with ambitions of putting it on my 2005 FX4. It was $100 and I think it's worth the curiosity. I did some rough "look-over" measurements today and it looks like a few bolts may line up, but the bumper itself is gonna be interesting.

I do have bushwacker fender flares so the alignment will be decently close. I have seen it put on a 04-08 body style in a picture, but no real proof. My curiosity peaked and I impulsed a used Raptor bumper.

Input is more than welcome. Experience is even more welcome. And criticisms are influential.

Thanks and have a good one guys,

Jake

I dont know much about it, but if you decide to go with it, and you have a grey bumper, I'll pick that up off your hands and help make you feel better about your purchase lol.

I have a charcoal grey bumper. But you probably won't want it. There are two huge holes in in from where I mounted the Pro Comp light bar. It was stupid installing it.

Shipping would be a nightmare. I'd take $100 for it, but you'd have to pay shipping and paypal charges.

And sorry, but no fog lights.

yea, your probably right. any idea on how much the shipping would be? if all together i had 150-200 bucks in it, id be a happy guy. getting a primed OE is like 200 bucks alone, not including getting it color matched.

I don't think it'll fit right. The 09+ front end is much more rounded. A guy on here was trying to put an 09+ bumper on an 04-08 truck a while back. He tried everything and ended up giving up.

Hmmm...OK. I'm gonna pull the bumper today and do a comparison on them. Hopefully I can get the bumper up high enough to see what would need to be done.

Thanks for your input. I still gotta try tho right? Ha

Absolutely! You got it for only $100. No sense not to even try. Wasn't trying to bring bad news, just report what I've read from others.

Tearing bumper off Friday and gonna see. I'll try to take pictures. I'm curious too haha.

I'm not expecting bolts to line up, but I'm curious what kind of brackets I'll need to make.
