Can anyone confirm my question? The handles exteriors all look exactly the same but when you look at the back side/mechanisms the 09-14 handles now use metal moving parts (great upgrade) and in particular the keypad handle looks like they added a metal moving mechanism which is not on the 04-08 ones, but I can not see what it does. Has anyone tried to put older handles on a new truck or newer on old? Just want to confirm this before I begin to look for handles. I am wanting to change my chrome pulls to the textured black.

I may end up just pulling the panel and handle off the drivers door to see if the inside of the door looks the same as my 2006 I had. I had those handles off numerous times for paint work and Lincoln LT handles.

 

There was a member on here who put 2010 handles on his '06/'08. I would imagine they would interchange as long as the keypad plug in matches.
