Q about Plastidip on wheels...

Just wondering from those that have done this, has it caused any balance issues? These trucks are prone to vibration problems to begin with and I would like to know what I am getting into before I give it too much though...

I helped a friend do his rims about 6 months ago and he has not had any issues. The beauty of plasti dip is if you do have issues, you can peel it off. (Remember to apply at least four coats if you due plan on using it, as it allows you to peel it easier).

It shouldn't cause any balance issues. I put about 8 coats on my back bumper of the dodge 2500 i had and ended up peeling it off when i sold it and it weighed a little more than a piece of a paper haha.

I wouldn't expect it to cause any issues. It weighs about as much as any other paint. DO use their clear coat if you do it, makes all the difference!

Just spray one wheel or a left and right side and take it for a drive before spraying them all and finding out it does. But i think you'll be fine.

I know some guys who have plastidipped wheels, and I never heard that they had any balance issues. And to me, the actual weight of the added plastidip is very minimal.

I just used the same one can on all 4 wheels on my Escape. Been about 4 months now and still looking good. Also have been up to 105 mph and no shakes.

Any and all black is a dust magnet. Ad the rubbery texture and multiply that by 10. Not a big deal for me. I did mine recently and have found that if they get real dusty from a dirt road to just spray them off with the ole water hose. My truck is black and dust is pretty much magnetized to it so I am used to it. Hell, if the wind blows I can see the pollen all over my freshly washed truck.

Id be more concerned about dogs peeing on them then dust.
