Anyone know where you can buy factory fog lights or an air dam for an f-150 or expy?

I have a 1999 F-150 lariat 4x2 and I am looking to replace my air dam with that of a 99-01 Expedition or F-150 4x4 black factory air dam. If anyone has any ideas where the air dam (w/fog lights and wiring)can be purchased or if anyone has done this before, and they can give me some info at Rockett21@hotmail.com, that would be great, thanks
matt

You can order them from your local FORD dealer parts department.

Try Fordparts.com i think it is? this is where everyone has been getting good deals on factory parts. Get the Ford kit. It comes with the harness and instructions. I bought the kit for my 97(in bumper) an it was an easy install and had everything including the light switch and relay.

We pick them up here. They make them here in Fort Worth. Dealers are $330. I can check but no for sure.

Boy not much of a discount. Time you add up every thing Valance, Fog Lamps, Light Switch, no wiring. You are looking at $307. A Ford dealer can order the hole thing under that. And you get the wiring. Plus no shipping charge. Good Luck.

Cool

Rockett Man, I definately recommend this mod. I bought mine from the dealer at $330.00. ruger-dfw is correct Ford does outscource these, if he can get you one at that price, I would jump on it. I have a similar truck to yours.

The install is very easy, and looks great.
Good Luck,
Jeff

Definitely go with ruger-dfw, didn't know the price from Ford so that's why I posted the link.

JA_Stang86,

Is the finish on that air dam smooth so it is paintable?

My stock air dam has a slight texture and my body shop guy told me that paint wouldn't stick well to it. I would prefer to get the factory setup but would like to paint the air dam.

The new airdam is the same texture as the original one. I would think you could spray on a heavy primer or something and sand it down to smooth. On the aircraft we paint it's called highbuild. Spray the entire plane and sand untill smooth.
