Ebay Window Tint Kit

I can get a complete precut window tint kit for my supercrew from Nusolis on ebay for $17.99. I already have some light tint just wanna go darker. How hard is the install? Are these kits worth a darn and would you need the installation kit and dvd?

tint is easy to install especially when its pre-cut. youtube a video on it, all you need is soapy water in a spray bottle, and a rubber hand squeegy. and its precut so u shudnt have to worry about trimming. i bought a precut kit for my truck off ebay and i was happy with it.

I believe that it depends on your expectations as to how your results will be graded. I can all but guarantee that your results will not be nearly as good as a pro tint shop would do it. I'm a licensed body man, with some experience putting decals on. I tried to tint my own windows, and in my opinion, my results were 90% as good as the tint guy's results. That still left 10% absolute crap. Not perfect is not perfect... I ripped it off and took it to the tint guys. I bet if you got up close and personal to the job the guys did on thier own trucks here, you could start pointing out bazillions of flaws.

If to you, "good enough is good enough", then give-er. You may very well end up with an adequate result. I doubt the ebay kit is UV shielded though.

its really not that hard.
patience is the key. as long as you use a razor to CLEAN the window very well before you apply the tint. it will turn out fine. use the solution from the company and mix it correctly and it will give you time to do it right.
dont use some dirty old rag or something with lint on it or the job is ruined.
CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN windows make happy tint jobs.

^x2 plus I took my windows off my doors to do mine...It turned out just as good as my buddies that got his tinted if you take your time you can do a good job but if you rush it you will mess up and once you mess up you have to get a new piece of tint. Tint is not forgiving at all... That being said I was only quoted $70 to do my front windows, I did it myself though because it is illegal here so I wanted to see if I could do it. That way when I get pulled over I can take it off and redo it myself... One thing I would recommend is taking the tint and tracing it onto a big piece of paper or cardboard that way if you mess up you can buy a tint sheet and you will have a nice template to redo it.

x2. I did mine through Northern Tint Co back in 2008 as well. Fantastic results, then again I have taught myself to tint at age 16 and have done numerous tint jobs on all kinds of vehicles since so its a breeze for me. Just takes a proper work area, proper preparation, and lots of patience.
