I'm looking for suggestions on what color to paint the FX2 Grille I recently purchased. The sorround is going to be ptm the color of the truck (True Blue). I have an 05 XLT True Blue and have added Hella black out head lights. I was thinking duplicolor dark shadow gray oem match or maybe something darker like a charcoal gray or even a satin black. If anyone has painted one before please post pics so that I can see what the colors look like on the grille. Any suggestions would be appreciated and taken into consideration. Thanks.

What color theme are you going for, chrome or black? I think PTM surround and black grille would look best on yours. Chrome or black surround with PTM grille the color of the truck looks slick as well. I painted my FX2 grille the color of the truck and I like it a lot.

 

The color theme I'm looking for is dark with hits of chrome i.e. wheels and bumpers

 

I would say a Black would look good with your truck.. it would match the headlights

 

Flat or Satin Black

 

I found this Dark Spiral Gray Metallic in Duplicolor OE color match its a GM color (boooooo) but its exactly the color I want. In the shade its black but in the sun its a dark charcoal with a little metal flake.. Applying it next week while my trucks in the shop.. will post pics when done. Thanks for the input.

 

Out of curiosity, where's the best place to get an FX2 grille? I'd rather have a roush, but the price is insane.
