Talking Ugly h-bar to a honeycomb grill

I recently got a honeycomb grill from member Tg150. He is a great guy and it was an excellent transaction. I can't believe how I went from an h-bar grill to a honeycomb and how much better it makes my truck look. I always thought that a honeycomb grill just looked cheap but I have now changed my thoughts about that. Well, here's the before and afters. Do you guys think I should keep it black like I have it or maybe PTM? My vote is for just the way it is and with no bug guard, unless I can be convinced. I also plan on eventually putting 6" lights behind the grill.

Before

After

I know I have to respray the ford oval again because of the paint coming off in some places but that's easy.
Also for ***** and giggles, here is the screwdriver I used to separate the surround from my old insert. Worked great actually since it already had a bend on it.

Like literally a day ago! I have a white truck that had the H-bar, and went to the honeycomb!
I will post pics up later today.

That old t-bird a 460? Smog/emission choked, I'm sure, but imagine the potential if it is. :-)

Don't think the T-bird is a 460. Wish it was though. It's actually my mom's and hasn't been driven in at least 15 years. It had some sort of transmission problem though, don't remember exactly what it was though. Been in her name since day 1 and I want to say it has less than 50K on it.

haha. Yea it is the same thing. That's my mudder though, don't be pickin on that little beast. lol I bought it for less than what the tires were worth. BTW, the fart can doesn't do much since the manifold leaks like a siv.

Well, I think the improvement was in removing that chrome thing from above the grille of a truck which has had all other chrome removed / painted.

I had thought about making the same swap on mine, but then noticed how so many have the honeycomb, and now looking at your truck, I see I like the H-Bar better after all.

Maybe it's the painted emblems that detract?

Thanks for the side by side pics though.

I just sprayed it with glossy(?) black Krylon Fusion to black it out.
