2000 F-150 LED interior light numbers?

I've searched A LOT on this one, for some reason these LED swaps are appealing to me now. The light output in my cab is pretty sad really. What part numbers do I need for LED bulbs for the interior lights of a reg cab 2000 f-150? I want the 2 map, 1 dome and 2 door panel. I'm thinking the doors are 194's as well as the 2 maps? The dome is what, a 578? So basically, if I go on ebay and buy whatever cross references these, I'll be fine? I see a lot of 2004 and newer articles, not a lot of 97-03. Somebody answer as if you were me and what you'd get or have gotten, all I want is plug and play. That being said, what's to installing the lights? Looks like the 194 replacements basically pop in like a regular bulb, but the other is a plate with a wire and you gotta use 2 sided tape to install? This right?

Anyone? 48 people looked at this thread thus far, maybe a lot are interested too? I wished I knew of a place locally to compare to but have never seen them on the shelf, only online or else I'd go there and figure it out. I did see Gatorscrew? his truck loaded up with these, blue in color I believe but couldn't re-find the thread posting he did.

dome and maps are 912/921 bulbs, and the puddle lamps are 194s, as you assumed.

I have all of those plus my cargo and license plate lights converted to LEDs. I love the look. Just need reverse lights now. :o

Cool, thank you! I thought about doing the cargo (I have the Lightning third brake light now) and license plate ones too, which as I recall are also 194's, but were listed on Sylvania's website. I'll try the interior ones first, then maybe the exterior, do you have pics of the lic plate ones and cargo?

No, but I can get some. I've been meaning to take pictures, just haven't remembered.

I think the L brake light will look good with LED cargo lamps.

Yeah man, there not ridiculously bright but they are MUCH brighter, whiter and cleaner looking than the stock lights.

It'll be a nice compliment to my Silverstar bulbs up front. That's about the nicest white light you can get this side of HID's which I'm ho hum about. I think once I'm off for holidays I'll hook it up. I'd like to see the pics though dirtyd88 was talking about taking, especially interior shots!

Got me thinking there dirtyd88 on those part numbers, you have s supercab, correct? I don't know for sure if the lights are the same as those in the reg cabs. Reason I say is I looked at what a 912/921 bulb looks like (online) and what I have looks like a glass fuse, a festoon bulb I guess it's called. I poked around a bit more searching and seem to find I need a 44mm festoon which cross references to a 578? regular bulb? I popped the cover off yesterday and got a look so soon I might as well order some.

Now, all this said, the amount of led's per bulb I guess, loike some have 6 or 9 or 12 squares, what really is the difference? I want to make it worth while to put these in there, but is there a rating which is kinda too bright?

oh, I just realized i completely gave you the wrong bulb number for the maps......:o

the 912/921 is for the cargo lights on the 3rd brake.

the maps and dome light are festoon bulbs, like you said. I have pics of my bulbs i will post for you tomorrow.

Got them in, dome, maps using the 44mm festoons, the door courtesy lights, license plate lights and the 3rd brake light. I haven't really gotten a good look at night of the exteriors, mainly because of well lit parking lots and trucks been filthy, but I'm liking the interior. Not a HUGE difference in output, but enough where you'd be happy. For the amount of money they were and how fast they all install, even if you didn't like them or find they were night and day, you're not out a lot of time or money.

Got these ones

I found one bulb fit the sockets perfect, 1 was too long but works. Much improved lighting.
