PTM door handles

I have looked all over this site and not gotten a real clear answer. I really want to ptm my door handles on my 2004 f150. The plastic is really starting to fade into a nasty gray. I want to get my handles professionally painted because I can get it done for cheap. Is the best way to go about this to take off the door handles I have now and take them in? or buy some of those chrome ones that go over the door handles and get those painted? It seems like a hassle to take off my handles. Thank you very much for any input and feel free to take a look at my pictures and tell me what you think I should do next!

To save money you can get the chrome handles, sand them down and paint them yourself with factory matched paint cans from automotivetouchup.com. I did this and they turned out nice, I also painted my FX2 grille to match using the same stuff and it looks great.

My wife broke your door handle of her Camry one morning and it was negative 5 degrees out. I was going to order one and just get a spray can from www.touchuppaintonline.com, which I have bought paint from before. But looking around on ebay, they actually had door handles already painted factory color. It's just so much easier to not have to paint it. Give it a look and see if you find it on there.

Do you have any pics of it? I want to paint my door handles but I'm not looking forward to painting the handles themselves.

That looks pretty good, I like it! What did you do about the black plastic between your keyless entry buttons? Just leave it black?

yeah you cant notice it unless you are right next to the truck. Mine arent black anymore, they are faded grayish so it isn't that bad.

Where can you find the white sand tri metallic (white pearl) touchup paint? I want to paint the chrome overlay and leave the handle chrome but they do not have this color on that website.

Personally if I could I would get rid of the door handles all together and have relays put in to open the doors. It would mean paainting the door etc but it would look real smooth!!

Can anybody point me in a direction that has the aerosol touch up paint for the white sand tri-coat metallic (white pearl) color?
