O.K. I recently purchased a 2010 FX4 and yes it is black. I know about tinting the tails, but what are my options for the headlights. I just do not like the way they look they need to be toned down. Not ready to dish out for projectors. Does anyone have covers and how do you like them?

 

pull them apart and paint the inside black or buy Harley ones.

 

Dont buy the AVS or Ventshade covers....you will have to take them off everything you want to use your headlights.

Look into painting your stock ones or dish out some money for some Harley Headlights.

 

Try the first one, if it doesn't work: buy Harley's

 

Actually, I really don't understand the whole blackout thing. It's funny, some guys work to buy chrome, some guys work to replace the chrome with painted. I guess it come down to what your prefer. Myself, I like the stock headlights.

 

FYI, Hella makes blackout headlights for the 04-08 F150. I've got a set on my 06 XL that I got off a friend when he traded in his 08 STX. Traded my stockers plus cash for his blackout Hellas.

They look great on my white XL. The theme I'm shooting for on my truck is the whole black and white 'Storm Trooper' look. Blackout headlights, black wheels, gonna black out my emblems, and tint my tails and third brake light since I have an LED bar on the back to keep me legal.

Yeah I like what 96grimreaper did too might look for a spare set and experiment with them. I just think with a black truck, grill and bumpers the headlights being chrome are too much.
