Bushwaker Pocket Style Fender Flares, paint prices?

Hey yall, been thinking recently about getting some fender flares put on the truck (especially after my recent custom paint job). Yay or nay?. I found a set on ebay for about $400 which is a good bit cheaper than going with Summit Racing. But before I order a set, does anyone happen to have an idea as to how much it normally cost to get them painted? Hoping it is not way too much or I'll be holding off a bit longer. Any in-site is appreciated as always.

Thanks yall,
-Barrett

Idk exactly how much yours would be considering black and white are the cheapest paints but considering I'm putting red ones on mine ( which is the most expensive...ya awesome) they priced me at $300 but I'm sanding them myself because I work there after school so I don't have to pay for that part of the labor just the actual paint. I had my two bumpers done there and they told me $300 for those too but it ended up being like $350 so idk exactly what its going to be thats just an estimate. As soon as I get them painted I'll tell you what I paid which they should be done about early next week.

Wow little bit more than I want to pay for paint , hopefully shops around here are a little cheaper or either a) I decide I don't want them for a while or b) Matte black starts to look pretty good on just the fenders for a while.

Mine were $265 to be painted. I ran the matte black till I had a bit of extra money.

as much as i love my flares, i would take them off if i could. be prepared to keep them if you put them on because they will rub the paint down to the bare metal after awhile. one day i may take mine off and get the paint professionally touched up.

Where did they rub away the paint? Did you get yours painted at all or did you just put them on as is?

they rub where the top of the flares rests against the sides of the quarter panels, you install a rubber strip there to act as a bumper but mine has four perfect half circles down to the bare metal right under that rubber.

i've had two sets actually, my first were painted but they came on the truck from the dealership so i couldn't tell you the price. my second set i left the stock black that they come in because at that point i was doing a blackout theme.

Didn't know they rubbed the paint away. Are the circles actually noticeable?

And since you left them stock this round, any idea how out of place they would look unpainted on my black truck or is that a bad idea?

Mine looked fine when I had left them matte. I did like the look, but I do like them more after they have been painted. The circles from rubbing are very noticable, but only when you take the flares off. If I ever decided to do that I would have my 1/4 panels touched up. I sent you a few pics of mine before the paint.

well guys I pulled the trigger on a set! Much easier to spend the money when my girlfriend has been telling me to buy them. $399 off eBay for the 4 of them. I'm hoping they beat me back to my house monday morning but that is probably unlikely. Most likely going to run them unpainted for a couple weeks or so before I spend another paycheck. How hard is the install? I don't foresee it being very difficult.

they aren't real hard to install, helps to have a friend to hold them up but i did mine by myself. some advice go out and get some little bolts and lock nuts, six of them, for the front two flares because they are held on with three plastic rivets each and they can pull out. that's why i got my black ones, my painted one fell off on the interstate one day and my tire ripped it off. they just take awhile because you have to drill each hole for the little bolts that line the top of them and bolt them all in.
