I'm looking to black out the front grill of my 08 DSG FX4 with the vertical and horizontal slotted factory grill and found this grill on eBay and wondered if anyone here has any experience with this grill or opinions on it.

I plan on getting everything but the center part of the grill to match the truck and leave the center black.

Opinions please.

it looks nice, i saw another post on here with a similar grille and the fitment wasnt the best thats the only thing holding me back from getting it. might just go for the fx2 grille and black it out

You can't beat these grilles for the price. Solid, simple, and clean. The gloss black goes well with factory black paint as well. Check out JakeKo's profile. He has the vertical (up/down) black grille. I looked hard for a horizontal sported on someone's F150, but had no luck. Maybe another member can help!?! In the mean time, check out the saleen grille for F150s, this has horizontal line and comes in black. It's very similiar. Nice choice!

Does that grill come with surround and is everything already black?

I bought the Fx2 grill and it came in today and it changed the entire look of the front for the better. It almost looks like it matches the DSG color of the truck. Paid $80 shipped to my door off ebay and it is the real deal.

 

hows the fitment any gaps or spots where it doesnt line up, where did you get it from theres a million ebay stores that sell it ranging from 80 to 200 dollars

 

Looks like the FX2 just set in a little bit. I like it.
