yeah the camaro is a lot of fun, it was a 9year project frame up custom resto, dad and i did all we could cept the motor, trans, and paint which was done by his high school friends who all have machine shops and body shops. i just wish my truck would run like it does lol.

and bigtruckguy, the only bars i bent were the steps and they are solid stock, so i just heated them and used a cheater bar, might have been easier if i had a pipe bender.

they are working out nice, however i do have a few issues.

one being mentioned before, i wish that i would have had the steps stick out a little more and not so much down

and two there a a few small spots on the step part where the bed liner has come off, i believe this is due to poor prep and not to use because it is only a few small spots and not an even wear pattern from my foot.

and the end caps are just the standard dome caps for steel pipe, i got them at the pipe and steel yard along with pipe and stock

HMMMM nice i like it, what i would do to prevent rust is use the same stuff they use on new buildings they use a rust coating thats a primer you can get it in a spray can anywhere just need to look. You should write up a how to from scratch
