There are about 4 shops in town that carry the recon lightbars. Everyone i talked to in the stores said the line of fires are great no returns etc. Now with the Extreme like the one i had they said they have had numerous problems with them doing the exact same as mine did. They went on to tell me recon wont do anything after 3 months (which i knew). I told em my ordeal and that recon actually bought it back from me to test it. It blew there mind that recon actually did something.

Ive got a rampage now and its working perfect.

Thanks for the feedback guys... I figure I won't need the added lights on the tail of the truck if a trailer is in the way between the truck, and the idiots behind me, so I went the plug in route. I didn't want to splice into my harness... I hadn't considered the model with the amber lights, The lights on the tail of my truck are red, didn't see a need for amber turns there... Just didn't think I would like the look...

As far as level is concerned, I went with Recon's recommendation to line it up to the rolled lip on the bottom of the bed edge, lines up almost perfectly, no micrometer measurements here, but by scientifically calibrated eyeball, and my FastCap Flat Back tape say that it is even all the way across +/- 1/32". At that point, who cares?

I read a good way to mount the light bar was to use industrial velco tape...that way it could be easily adjusted or removed...I just got my rampage led light bar w/reverse...mostly because I tinted all my tail lights...they look sweet since my truck is all black but make it difficult to back up in the dark with tinted reverse lights...

hope to install tomorrow if home depot has the velcro...

I just don't care for the look of them. See so many that are missing led's lit up. Chinsy looking mod in my book

Monday...I just installed a rampage 60" brake bar w/reverse...just tapped into DS reverse bulb...
instead of the velcro I used superglue and magnets...3/4" x 1 1/2" x 3/8" thick I bought at lowes...very strong easy to adjust (unlike tape) and has not moved at all in 3 days...
plus if I want to take it off for whatever reason I can...
