Truck Wrap dimensions?

Hey guys, I am trying to order a wrap for my truck to put on. Does anyone have a clue what the square footage is of the surface area of the truck (excluding the actual bed of the truck where I would place things)?

oh and my truck's a 2008 super crew:

But I would take away a few feet for windows and wheel wells. So that would set you around 280 sq feet. That being said I would order 300 to be safe

Hell yea man. Good luck!

Everyday I wish I was back in the Military and never got out. I could be a 2nd class by now. I could retire by the time I was 39.

Life is not greener on the civilian side lol. Stay in for the long haul.

Any idea what the cost is in a wrap project? There is a new place opening up in my town, that does that. I haven't been there, but am curious what the cost is. I guessing they do it by square foot?
What I am thinking of is the interior if my truck. I'm hoping to rebuild it over the next couple of years. I would love to do that to all of the dash and trim pieces.

yeah its about 1200 for the wrap itself. Plus you probably want to have someone do it for you. I know I probably will... Its not worth my time to even try and do that. so probably $2K our the door.... thats for the exterior tho. For interior It would be a lot less Id imagine.... but I was dissapointed to see how much it was I was wanting to do Advantage Max 4 all over the outside so I wouldnt scratch my truck to pieces in the woods but that's too expensive to put on and peel off.... Maybe I should look into that clear stuff from advance auto

Years ago, I used to build radio control airplanes. We covered them with a heat shrink covering that is probably similar to this stuff. Though I'm sure it was lighter weight, but probably has the same qualities. I wouldn't try it on my truck on the first go. On the monocoat on airplanes, the difference between heat shrinking and melting was pretty narrow. You could mess the whole job up with one overheated spot.

As far as the interior of a truck goes, I could always start with some small insignifacant pieces and work my way up.

What I've heard is that you can take a photo of the print you want, and they duplicate it on the wrap. Is that pretty much the way it's done?
I like what you were thinking of clearcoating also.

What color wrap do you plan on going with ?

I looked into doing a flat black/ flat white vinyl wrap for my truck, i found a local guy that specializes in vinyl wraps for cars/trucks, he does awesome work. he quoted me $3,500 w/ a 5 year warranty.

a bit too pricey for me, considering my paint is still in good shape.

Mayb one day down the road when my paint is shot , i'll look into it again or even consider a paint job for that price.

since you have an 08 i would say your paint is still in good condition right ?
I would put the money towards something else, mayb a 6" lift and 38's

Yea its crazy exspensive to get a wrap on trucks like that.

And I dont know if I would trust some type of "clear" from autozone to the ext of my truck
