In Need Of Repairs

Hey guys, im new to this site, not new to the ford experince though, I had a little accident a few weeks ago (playing a little too much in the snow) and i need a little help. First off, ive got a 04 nbs regular cab stx 4x2 with the 4.6. now what i need help with is parts/ and fittment. I wacked a sign post on the drives side. I am going to be replacing Headlights, hood, bumper cover, lower valace, and driver fender. ive got a local aftermarket place here in Indy that ive got an account with.....(great discount) but i want to put my hard earned money to good use.... I was thinking about black projector heads with the hid, stock fender, stock hood and upper valance. now the lower valance is what troubles me. I fell in love with the fx2 lower. I was wondering if it will fit with my stock painted bumper on my stx... I bought this year because of the square fogs, ( no offense everybody, i just think they look better) ive heard that the fx2 lower has some issues on the 04-05 with mounting. Ive also decided that i want to go with the roush upper and lower grills. The only other thing thats still got me hung up is the fog lights, my stx is black, and ive got some plans for rims, tires, tails, etc in the future, and i want to use the black projectors, tails, and use the crome as an accent. Is there any aftermarket black square for this model, or any way to tint them? oh and lowering kits..... i really just want to take a little out of the *** end... sits way to high for a 4x2.. Any info will help... Thanks everyone

Welcome to the site. I doubt that there are any black fogs out there but you can tint them. I have thought about tinting my round ones. You can use VHT Nightshades and I bought it at Advance Auto Parts, but it can be found at many other places. I used it on my tails and it works great.

Outside. I experimented with my third brake light and liked the results so I then did my tails. I washed them with soap and water. Then dried them with a microfiber cloth and scuffed them up with one of those red scotch brite sanding pads and washed and dried them again. 2 coats of Nightshades and 2 of clear-coat. I went 2 coats of tint because my cops are all a**holes and I didn't want to be hassled all the time. They're dark enough for me. For some reason my one taillight turned out a little lighter when I installed them so I put a real light coat of tint on and then it turned out the same darkness as the other.

I used just a Duplicolor clear coat. Good idea on doing the inside. Are you talking about tinting the inside of the glass or the reflector? If the glass, I would think the glass would get too hot and make the paint/tint blister and peel, but I'm not sure. If you do the inside, you wouldn't need the clear coat because the clear is just for protecting it from weather and fading when applied outside.

No problem. Thanks. I want to do my badges. Probably when the weather gets warmer and when I have time. You thought about your badges?

BTW, everyone on here loves pictures. What does your truck look like? Or do you have to buff it all out first? lol

Since you are going to have your fogs open you should paint them too
Painting 2004 Fogs

Thinking about putting some nightshade on them too.

yogi i love your grille and the lower too. where'd you get em... and thanks im probalby going to do that... but first i got to get the grille situation sorted out and some more info on the hids... i get a better deal at abp when i order alot of stuff... i really want yogi's grilles and the fx2 lower.. but i havent seen an 04-05 fx2 and dont know if the 06-up lower will fit.. also are the hids worth the money? was the install hard, and finally what brand or type would you reccomend.... my last f150 was a 96 and it was all muscle...i didn't do any appearance work to it... back then if it didn't make it gofast or climb through mud pits it didn't get put on that truck.
