Blacked out 09 emblems and some other goodies...

I cut the side FX4 tab off and to my suprise there is little gap because the tab isnt solid. I filled the gap with mighty putty sanded and painted w/ Duplicolor primer and Black paint.

I also got new 09 FX4 decals that are black w/ DSG edge. I also got a black/DSG tailgate and steering wheel overlay and also Black/DSG FX4 saleen decal.

I want to put them on now but since it' still pretty cold here in MN I better wait for a little warmer weather. I will update this post when I get them installed.

Why did you cut the side FX4 tabs off? I just bought a set, and was wondering if they are going to be too long. Did you just do it for the looks, or because they are too long?

they re not too long or anything. Just personal preference , i think it looks cleaner/ more sporty without the tabs.

Yea, I forgot to say thanks to IDNC76, so......Thanks man! He was the first to cut off the tab and w/out you doing it I probably wouldnt have attempted it. It definately takes some precision cutting but I love the way it looks and no Paul, you do not need to cut it off.

In my original post I put duplicolor "primer" but I meant to say "adhesion promotor" and I followed with "universal black" Duplicolor auto spray. I was going to maybe do some DSG inlays but I like the look w/out because since the edges of the F150 is raised it is still easy to read it.
