Need advice: which of the 2 Grilles? (Pics)

Ok, originally wanted black RBP grilles, but thats not happening, due to price tag.

SO after looking at various grilles (and prices), Im going to get billet upper and lowers, and paint them gloss black.

For some reason i like the look of our grilles with the black plastic surround still showing (bolt-over), and am convinced that you wont be able to see the honeycomb behind it.

Here are the choices:

(about $65 shipped for both)

If i do keep the ford emblem showing, it will be covered via Patriot Decals.

If not, Ill get another f150 xlt 5.4 rectangle emblem and mount it in the lower right hand corner (like Saleens)

I like the first one. And I'm sure you will be able to notice the honeycomb when the truck is at a standstill just not when it's moving.

With your theme, I think the Saleen would be a good choice. If not... #2 for me

+1 I like the second grill better. The first one just doesnt seem right because of the way its cut around the emblem. If the emblem was placed over the second grill that wouldnt look too bad if you prefer to have an emblem.

I think you responded to my other thread but my truck had a grill similar to the second one that I just pulled off for my new saleen grill.

If you are going to do a bolt over I think the first one with an emblem overlay will look better. I hate how the sides are angled back on that second grille.

Neither. Bolt-overs are just plain ugly. You'll always wish you'd have went with a replacement.
