I like the Harley Tails. I am leery about the 3rd brake lights because of quality issues. What about picking up a spare 3rd brake light and nightshading/tinting it?

I have that exact third brake light in red and love it. Also ordered these tail lights and they should be here in 3-5 buisness days lol. Just tint them and you are good to go. Not bad for $160.

yeah i really like the HD tails too. but i dont trust my self painting at all and i know the brake light will end up darker then the HD tails. what has me worried is the fact that the 3rd brake light is only 30 bucks and i dont like buying crap from some company i dont know anything about.

I got some aftermarket LEDs and haven't had any issues with them. I put a light coat of VHT on them to hide the chrome, but since you're not doing all blacked out it will look good with the chrome.

edited out links--see post #14

They also sell them as a set with the 3rd brake light, but I couldn't find it in the few minutes I looked. I think they would look great on your black truck, but I'm biased.

I looked for some I liked for months. Finally found these and jumped on them. There was only one slink for them on ebay. The seller has 6 sets left.

I think these are the ones mblouir was talking about. I ordered them a few days ago and should be here soon.

your truck looks good with those on there, and i like the tinted look like that im just afraid that if someone hits me at night and police notice the dark lights it will become my fault or something. and as far as the chrome goes, i dont really want chrome there. i was thinking of the recon led red/smoked lights too but they are mad money so..... decisions decisions
