Halo / projector fog lamps?
wait.... I've seen those before...those are for the 04-05 trucks, not the OBS.
and halverso, I highly doubt they are bright...they most likely use a weak H3 bulb. The main reason for that is the "cool" factor with the mesh grille around it and the halo/projector setup.

I just got a pair of these for Christmas. I am looking for some wiring help. I have a 2003 Supercrew that doesn't have factory fogs. I am getting a valance with fog light cut outs. I am not sure what the best way to wire these up would be.
I want to be able to turn on the halos separately from the projectors. I am thinking
running a new switch for the fogs, maybe a double throw. One for the halos and then the other for projectors and the halos.
Another thought was to wire the halos with the parking lights and then the projectors with the low beams.
Any thoughts???
thanks

and secondly, i think the halo/parking light and fog/low beam combo is best

I swiped this link from a 99-04 (Heritage) auction. This assembly (save lamps of course) looks exactly like the factory ones in my 2001 XLT 4x4.
What are "projector" lights all about? Throw or flood? Is it just a glass optic in front of a standard halogen? Can anyone confirm which bulb these use? I'm only concerned with improved function, not appearance.

You should probably stay with OEM or go on eBay and find some clear-lense fog lights because these are plastic projectors, the output is probably going to suck, especially with tiny H3 bulbs
I can't say about the ones the OP posted, one mine the honeycomb is not open. So I don't know if those fit the -03 or the 04-08 ones. On the ones I've got they are true projectors they do have a crisp cutoff. But they use a H7 bulb not the factory H10.
Okay, here is what i have found out. I bought the valance and these fogs do not fit. These lights are more square and the holes in my valance are more trapezoid shape. So what type of lights would fit?? Any recommendations?
