Yes. Having a higher power HID kit will was out the color a bit more. Therefore a 55w kit in 5000k, what I ordered, will look like a 4300-4500k 35w kit.

In other words, the 55w will look like the color stage below it in 35w. (if that makes sense. :o)

If you want the look of a 6K kit, but more light than a 35W kit provides, order an 8K 55W kit.

 

good to know but my question is now based on your last post why would i do the 55 over the 35 watt kit?

 

A 55w kit puts out 40% more light than a 35w kit, so DDM claims on theirs. Even though your bulbs will 8000K, they will look, and light up more of the road than a pair of 6000K would in 35w.

You hog hunt, I'm sure, so think of it like a spotlight. As the spot like begins to lose it's power, the light intensity and clarity of the light beam starts to deminish, and also the light starts to look more yellow than white. Same as with the HIDs. The higher power causes them to light up more, increasing the amount of light they put out, and drowning out the blue tint of the bulb.

 

I just ordered some 55w 6000k Apex today. We shall see when i recieve them
