Hey sledman, Where did you run your wires and mount the Balasts? If you could could you get a pic of where the balasts are and tell me where you ran the wires?

I bought this kit for my truck but I am having a hell of a time trying to find somewhere to mount the balasts. I already have the Air filter in 3 pieces and the radiator resivoir loose so i can try and squeese my hands behind it on the drivers side, and I haven't even looked at the pass side yet aside from running the wires twice trying to find a good route so that the fit.

I mounted my ballast under the plastic shroud that mounts over the hoodlatch/radiator area. The one with the belt routing sticker on it. I wanted to hide the ballasts etc, but it was about minus 15 Celsius that day, and during the re-installation of the plastic cover, I broke a chunk of it, and ended up throwing it on the pile of other stock parts I have taken off my rig.

Which wires is this? Is this the little 2 prong Hi/Low plug or the bigger (9006) balast plugs??

In my truck I don't have low beams at all, as soon as I turn them on it is on High beam while I have the high beam selector thing off and when i try to turn on the High beams nothing happens.

EDIT:

i just took the light bulbs out and put my halog's back in so I had functioning headlights for the weekend but I used a circuit tester and tested the signal's adapter plug that says when to turn what on and it is messed up. When the low beams are on it has power to both high and low beams, and when I turn on the high beams it just switches which is stronger but still both lights are on. I will be calling them monday to findout what they say till then I have the wireing in and done just disconnected from the battery and the bulbs out of the vehicle.

OK, I think my lights are fixed. I called DDM and talked to Ryan who was very helpful in assisting me to fix my wires. It turns out that the adapter plug was wired wrong (for my vehicle supposedly). Supposedly that is wired for "Most vehicle setups" so I had to take the adapter apart and re-position the pins to work correctly.

With the harness I have The white wire is the Lowbeams, Red wire is Highbeams, and the Blue wire is the Ground.

Above is suppose to be the 9007 Wire Connector from a 97-03 F150 (this is mine on my 99)

The plug should wire like the following (Looking at the back of the adapter)

Now I just have to test the Highbeams and make sure they go off when I turn them off later tonight when I get home from work.

EDIT 2:
Tested everything and it all works great now. Love the lights but think that next time (if there is one) I'll try the 6000K. lol

Hey. Please do NOT post in another thread about the same questions that you already started a thread for: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ap...lment-hel.html

It's against Forum decorum.

Thanks

MRod, if you come back to this thread, I moved your post to the thread you started here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ap...lment-hel.html on this topic.

Please don't make multiple posts on the same topic, and DO NOT hijack someone else's thread with a problem of your own. It causes great confusion and makes everyone unhappy.
