I have the AVS in channel vent visors for the windows, and they are pretty good quality. They stopped about a 1 inch round stone from busting my newly tinted window out about a year ago. The visor broke but hey it did the job. I hear weather tech's product is pretty good to!

EGR in-channel, sweet setup........I am sure thought that other brands are good too, but I really like the smooth looks of the EGR ones.

Same here, love em! Regardless of what brand you choose, I'd definitely go with in channels.

If it's tinted professionally it shouldn't, and hey if you paid to get it done hopefully you went somewhere with a warranty and that's what it's there for!

In channels are shoved up into the window seal, while out channels are stuck on with 3M tape.

I used to sell these and I've heard enough opinions on these damn things...

In Channels, generally look better than Out channels. Yes, it's an opinion, but I've yet to meet someone who had a different thought on this. They have a sleeker, lower profile look. However, they have that sleek look because they're is plastic shoved into your rubber window gasket. Every once in awhile I'd have a customer who would complain that the In-Channels caused the window to leak. This didn't happen very often, but enough that I feel that I should say something.

The Out-Channels are quite the opposite. Much more bulky looking (only if you are looking though), although with the out channels there is no fear of leaking.

I have out channels, while my Dad has In-Channels on his '02. From a couple feet away, you really can't tell the difference.

As far as brands go, Weather Tech is one of the best (that's what my Dad has, and 7 years later they still look new!) but they are pretty pricey. AVS & Lund are owned by the same company, so they are good, but the pricing should be about the same. They also offer chrome. Stampede has Smoked, Chrome as well as Clear (the clear is very Euro looking). Those are the brands that I have the most hands on experiences with, and they all seem to hold up well. (Although I'm curious to see how my AVS's hold up to my Dad's WT's. Somebody remind me to look at mine in 6 years... )

Nope, no issue with my tint. Mine are held in with little clips (look something like this "/\")you shove up between the channel and the visor. I think there might be some 3M type tape on the clips too.

I think I can see then where if they wern't pushed fully into the door glass channel that the window might not go up enough to keep any hard rain out. Really, since I don't smoke, the only reason for them down here is to be able to have the windows cracked slightly to let the hot air out when it gets into the triple digits during the summer after your vehicle has been sitting in the sun all day. It can take your breath away sometimes ;-) My wife uses those foil reflective window shades in her windshield when she parks and it DOES make quite a difference but I don't like having to mess with them. I have to admit though they do keep the steering wheel from burning your hands when you grab it.

Ditto. If your windows aren't tinted, you should look into doing that as well. It'll cut down on some of that heat.

No leaking on mine, either from rain or car wash.

I would definitely get the in channel visors, the previous owner on my truck had some cheap external ones and the adhesive is a b*tch to get off it still isn't all off
