Paint handles or paint covers?

Getting ready to color match my mirrors and door handles but not sure if I want to paint the handles (while still on the truck) or get chrome covers and sand and paint them. What do you think?

Take your paint code to a local paint shop they'll hook you up

I was in same situation as you.... i sanded and painted my putco's... it is a pain to sand them, but really doesn't take that long. more you sand, the better they are going to look...

only suggestion i have for you is to make sure you put lots and lots of double sided tape on the covers. I have one that is starting to come off on one corner...

I"ll just give you the link to the thread i made a couple weeks back... I explained most and the steps i used to paint both mirror's and buckets..

Latest Project... PTM

I think the directions are on page two when I did the mirrors. It was basically the same steps... Well I guess I took them off the truck, so no need for putting on newspaper.

And if you already have yours on, I just used a hairdryer and took my time and started to pull them off... took me a couple hrs to get them off... I broke 3, first was tailgate, then a passenger handle so i didn't really care if i broke the drivers since i had to order a new set of 3.

Well any other Q's feel free to ask
