grille guard questions...

hey all. im looking for a black grille guard for my 08 f150 4x4. i found this on ebay. this one is the style i like, and for a good price. but... the descripction says it fits 04-06. i asked the seller if it fits 08's also because the 06-08 front bumpers are the same, right?. the seller said the manufacturer company had never tryed it on an 08. so, the question is, is there a difference in fitment for the 04-05 and the 06-08?

heres the link. the pic also shows it on an 04-05.

I'll tell you this Jake, the first guard will probably not fit... Mine had two different alignment holes depending on wether it was an '06 or '07. Another factor to consider is if you buy cheap you get cheap... The top guard and the bottom guard will only be good for looks and appearance... They will not measure up... You will also need to consider the loss of your tow hooks with certain guards, not a good idea for a 4x4... Mine cost more but you get what you pay for...

yea, this is mainly for looks. and i can get by without tow hooks. i am lifting this truck and there is always somewhere to hook up a tow rope. lol. i really like that guard you have, is it a ranchhand? and the price really isnt a big deal, just looking for a deal pretty much. im guessing 600-700 for the one you have?

No, my grille guard is not a Ranch Hand... It's a Go Industries "Rancher" grille guard... It's one piece of fully welded 1.9" tubular steel... Very strong... I really love the center built in step which gives easy access to the engine and I did not lose my tow hooks... I purchased it through, www.truckaddons.com. They were the least expensive. I looked for many months before I found what I was looking for... Prices ranges from $650 to $850 less shipping everywhere I looked. Truckaddons had it for $569 less shipping. I would do it again in a flash... Since I live in the Oregon Cascades I need protection from all the deer... It has really held up...
