Latest Project... PTM

Well I've started to take off the stuck on chrome and do the PTM... Will be doing the mirrors next weekend.. Got busy and only got the handles done so far.. I just sanded and painted the stick on buckets...

Close up of the handles... color is close, but a shade on the dark side..






what do you guys think... Doesn't quite shine like the OEM but still looks good... my girl likes the chrome better because "its shinny" haha

Yeah the color is a bit off but how off was the black or chrome handles?? I like it a lot. Good job.

I looked at them again. The color really isn't off, it is just they took the paint different than the metal. Still looks great!!!

I don't think the color is actually off by that much. I could hardly tell by the pics. Possibly a nice polish and wax will match it better.

thanks guys... it was kind of fun doing the project myself... this was my first time doing painting projects too... will have the mirrors done this weekend then will do updated pics... altho sanding all 5 buckets really killed my hands...

hopefully they hold up well over this winter...

Way better! Just tell your girl everytime you change something from chrome to paint Jesus saves a puppy/kitten (whatever she likes)

Very nice job it looks much better! I agree with the others on the polish. I think it may just be a shine difference?
