Nite Shade Finally

So I got tired of looking at the head light covers on my truck. And finally took a can of nite shades to them. I think they turned out good. I also did my K5's taillights you can check those out in my album (Toys) I haven't decided if I want to do the tails on the F150 I currently have smoked covers on them.

This is definitely a rare one, but it actually made those old headlamps look pretty decent. How is light output?

Like good but I used to get such bad light output on my oem heads I would have never tinted them. That's why I'm jus getting some smoked L heads

I'm going to have to go the other way. No offense, but that looks like crap. If you can wet sand them to get a gloss finish, maybe they'll look alright. The whole idea of tinting/smoking headlights to me is kind of stupid, though. Sorry man, just my opinion.

I agree about wet sanding. I recently redid my tails and didn't wet sand at first. It wasn't glossy at all so I decided to go ahead and stop being lazy. Took some 2000 grit and wet sanded all the orange peel off. Used some heavy cut polish, Plast-X, and Meg's deep crystal polish. They look 10x better with a really glossy finish.

I agree. Dont be sorry dude, there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. But they do look like a really cheap quick done job...

wet sand them with 2000 grit, add another coat of clear coat and let dry overnight. Then wetsand them again and buff them with some plast X, 3M rubbing compound and then buff them with a polish like Yellow Wax.

You have some bad orange peel going on and then are not glossy. This is going to cause you hell at night with getting light output thru them to the roadway. They look better than the covers; now just finish the job and you may want to invest in some HID's
