Chrome or Black??

Ok heres my dilema.... I want to purchase new n-fab nerf bars, a westin grill guard and black ranch hand rear bumper. i cant decide if i should get the nerf bars and grill guard in chrome or black.... I currently have crome 17" rims, toolbox, and tips. I really dont want a chrome grill guard because then i cant hit stuff without worrying about messing up the shine. wouldnt it look alright if i had the chrome rims, toolbox, and tips with black grill guard, rear bumper and nerf bars?? it evens the chrome and black out i think. ANY OPIONIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED! pics of any simialiar setup would be great too.

Thanks guys i know yall will help me make the right choice

id honestly go with the black myself cuz im not a big fan of chrome. also if you were to hit something for some odd reason its a lot smarter to get the black then tearing up that chrome finish like you said...no worries of making the truck look beat up

My truck has chrome bumpers, door handle, tailgate handle, and grill, so I figure I might as well complement those pieces so I am going with chrome nerf bars and bull bar. My truck will be bright red and chrome basically. I like the chrome look, however the one good picture I saw of your truck, I would go with black. If you are concerned about scratches you could also use line-x spray on those bars.

I jsut recently purchased a Black brushguard and Black tail light guards to amtch from Aries Automotive. When I asked the guys at Line-X that did the liner for both my F150 and my last truck they said it would be about $500 to get the Brush guard and Tail light guards sprayed. I didn't even pay that much for the entire bed liner. The reason for the high cost is because of the massive amount of lost material when they are spraying those thin bars.

If you want to be able to hit things you could also try polished stainless instead of chrome but it too will start to show scratches after enough bumps.

If you don't mind waiting a week or so you could wait and I should ahve the brush guard installed by then, Gotta wait for it to arrive which should be by either this weekend or next weekend.

Here's a link to a picture the Brush Guard:

I too, have the Westin black bush bar on a tan F-150 with polished aluminum rims and it looks good.

Go with the black one, the chrome will peel in time and you'll just be painting it black anyway...
