Chrome or PTM
ok, so i say if you want to keep your options cheap, go with PTM mirror caps and door handles, level ether the front or the rear (depending on the look your going for of course) and get some 20's with some decent tires. i think trying to replace both bumpers could get a little costly when your trying to save of 20's with tires, just my .02 cents man! awesome looking tuck!
Personally I like the chrome bumpers. Nothing wrong with PTM just my preference in most situations. That being said I think painting the bumpers if you do it should be last on the list. I'd drop it and get wheels and tires first, paint the mirror caps which is on my list too and the fx2 valance and lower grille suggestion would look great!
i agree except i would put 22's
ptm YOUR bumpers, handles, mirrors. lower it with some wide 20s and add a tint and some fogs like me and bluejay have. do you plan on keeping the bed ties? i am debating if i want to delete mine or not
Yeah I'm keeping my bed ties. As far as the handles are mirrors, that's just money I don't have. I'd rather put that money towards performance then a few painted pieces of plastic.
Agreed. You have a very nice truck 4.6 as I've already said before. Keep it simple. I've seen it go both way and everytim I see a truck that is covered in chrome I always say, "Looks like they customized their truck in the chrome section of JCWhitney." A bit of both is good but try to keep it simple. You don't want to alter the truck too much and end up with some totally different look. I get the idea that you want a semi sport rod look.
I think those suggestions were made to the original question asked? I agree though put your money where you want. If it wasn't for money or the lack of we all would have finished trucks and nothing to talk about!
Well the main concern is the chrome bumpers, not the black plastic. I'll more than likely keep them black so they break up the red more. I got a quote to have the bumpers powder coated red, it'll be $250 and a week without bumpers.
i would be concerned with how close they can match the OEM paint when they powder coat them..
