I'm assuming these are just "colored" halogens, right? Kind of like cheap SSs?

Either way, if they last, they might make a good substitute to SSs. What is the other Ebay halogen that people liked? I think it had a lifetime warranty or something, Eurodesign?

Ummmm a straight replacement bulb isn't a HID bulb. You need ballasts/starters, etc to be a real HID. Can't get those for $10 bucks. You get what you pay for though. I hope el cheapo 10 dollar bulbs work out good for you.

Make sure to routinely check your wiring harness, those cheap bulbs that "are as bright as HIDs!!!!" draw way more power then stock bulbs. This can melt the wiring harness. So now a $10 bulb costs $300.

If you want black headlights why did you spend money on Ebay bulbs?

Check the wattage on the bulb and packaging before you put them in. Normal lights are 55w/65w, as stated before, any more will draw too much current through your stock wiring harness and rick burning you to the ground. Not to be Negative Nancy or anything.

Had some of the cheap "HID" bulbs in one of my previous trucks for a few days and they melted my stock wiring harness. Trust these guys........ a replacement wiring harness is not cheap by any means and those bulbs will melt your harness in no time.

x2. I never replaced the harness. It was cheaper to buy real HID's and just wire them in
