Has anyone put HID into their backup lights? Do they even make HID's for this purpose? I have really dark window tint and I can't see behind me too good at night, so these would be awesome. If they don't make them specifically for the reverse light, is there a set that could possibly be modded?

 

You might be able to jerry rig something, but your bulbs and ballast would have a short life due to being turned on and off to often. Plus it takes the bulbs a few minutes to warm up, so you wouldn't have full light as soon as you put it in reverse. I would look into adding some halogen fog lamps under the rear bumper, which would really help.

Patman also did reverse fogs on his truck...i plan on doing it soon too.

I added 3" fog lights the trailer hitch on my truck.....made a world of difference backing out of my garage at night.
