i agree , one of my buddies nightshaded his tails on his charger very dark , and i was driving behind him one day around noon and i almost hit him, couldnt see him braking.

i hate driving behind ppl with tinted tails, thats the main reason i went with the light vynil tint , adds a lil smoke to it , but not as noticeable .

the tint is on the truck , its very subtle , off the truck is a stock tail

Yeah I know...it will be a while before I have the money saved up, though. Would I not be able to have these wheels with 35s and a lift? I am still confused on all the details but the 20x9: BS=5.71", offset=+18mm. Would these puppies rub? I hope not or I may have to go bigger.

you wont need new rims , but you ll prolly be close to the control arm/ knuckle . plus they will be tucked in a good amount and it wont have that nice wide stance

i had 20x9 MM951 with 6.18 bs and 35/12.5R20 toyo mts , and i could barely fit my finger between the tire lug and the control arm , it would rub on sharp turns and bumps. only fix was new wheels , which i wasnt complaining about lol

i had my tails smoked for awhile

trust me you KNEW when i was stopping

i had TWO LED bulbs is each taillight, an LED 3rd brakelight and a knockoff Line of Fire thats bright as hell

i got pulled over at least once a month, it really just gives the cops to pull you over whenever they want, and i didnt like that

last straw was the stupid inspection place wouldnt pass me and i didnt feel like driving home and getting my stockers so i just peeled the tint off

Just wondering any lawyers in here to deal with accidents.. If someone crashes into you because of your "smoked/darkened" taillights will this be 100% our fault? Just my curiosity... I like the idea on the light of fire tho.. probaly a must for those who have dark tails..

well if you never been in a accident before, the cops would be the one to judge whos at fault.. sometimes they aren't good on judgements.. So guessing with the darkened tails and non complient to the laws of the DOT then.. wouldnt it be the drivers fault..

The line of fire is a good idea, but when it comes down to the law I would think that it wouldn't matter if you got hit. If your tails are tinted beyond legal limits then it's still against the law, regardless of if you have any other tail lights (ie-LOF). The LOF is a good idea, though, to help prevent yourself from getting hit. I'd like to hear from someone who has either been in this situation or has knowledge of the subject, too.

Yeah its worth considering about, because some of ya'll got pretty cool trucks and it would suck to see it get rear-ended... dark tails ~ expensive body work

I second that from the same position man, they look EXCELLENT, but thats a garage queen show car mod, not a daily driver thing. Just not smart, unless you do it in such a way the light show's through enough.

JL check his profile man, or go here His tail shot.
