Recon problem?

Installed my Fire and Ice bar today on my truck, reverse lights work great, turn signals, and brake light. Leaving tonight though, I noticed it is not illuminated when my lights are on, but works if I apply the brake/turn signals/reverse. My dad has the same one on his '150, and they come on with his lights, as they should. I dont see where there could be a problem, it's straight foward, just plugs in the trailer hitch and I hard wired the reverse wire into my light like it said. What is my problem where they're not coming on as running lights?

I'd say if you look at the 4 pin connector on the back of your truck, you'll have one that has corrosion problems. If I remember correctly, the pin you want to look at will be the pin (female) next to the exposed ground (male pin).

FWIW, the rubber covers don't do a good job, on their own, at preventing road salts, etc from getting into the connector. I put dialectric grease in my connector when it's not in use to protect it from corrosion. Or I did until I installed my Recon bar.

I perm. installed my light bar with pigtails leading to a 4- and 7-pin
