Question Billet Badges

So, I was ordering some custom badges from Billetbadges.com and was informed that they can no longer do custom badges with copyrighted Ford material in them.Crap

So, then I ordered some extra F-150 badges from Ford so he can paint them. Duh, he powder coats the badges and didn't suggest doing it that way. Double crap.

So long story short, I am going to have some custom badges done up and need some ideas. I don't want some corny crazy *** looking truck. I am gonna put SinCity on the front and back ovals as black ovals and blue text and the blue line around. What I need are ideas for the 3 F-150 emblems. Nothing can be Ford, FX4, etc.

He suggested this.

I think that is too corny, so any input from you guys would be great.

I know, I was gonna order in Oct but didn't follow through.

Well I hunt, Fish, Hike, but mainly off road. I was thinking an off road idea or something. Just mad cause I only wanted the Ovals changed and then the badges different colors. Crap!

I think some people here have blacked out their stock badges using NiteShades or maybe even paint.

You could have the SinCity with some boot-prints walking away, kind of a hikey/outdoors look...

Yeah, I tried that with the ovals just to see and it came out ok, but already nicked the crap out of paint with flying rocks from the AZ desert.

I might do it that way and just custom up the ovals as I still have all hte paint and clear coat. I have to pull them anyways cause I am having my new hood installed today (hopefully) and they will most likely need to go down the fenders to math the colors.....

Hmmmmm so much to think about.

That's gay that he can't do anything Ford related now....why whould Ford care anyways. He should just do it for you "under the table" and not give you a receipt if you want it bad enough.
Does that mean PatriotDecals can't do the Ford stuff anymore either

Anyways, can't wait to see your truck on the 18th

If you are wanting to change colors, have you tried patriotdecals? The ovals stick directly over. For the side badges, you can paint the badge, then get some colored inlays. Just an idea.

I just got some stuff from them to try the ovals and was not satisfied so I scrapped it. But yeah that is wierd.
I dunno, I tried hinting towards that and he became obviously distant so it's cool. Don't want any trouble.

Hell yeah, can't wait to get all these trucks together.

I tried the oval overlays from them and it did not go over well so they got scrapped. How well do the inlays work?

What was wrong with the overlays? I have them on the front and tailgate and they worked great. In fact, I even replaced my original overlays by just putting the new ones directly on top.

I haven't personally tried either. I do know many users on here have used them and love them. I will be ordering some in the future. The letters are chipped away and fading in my stock badges.

They did not sit good on the raised letters and looked awkward because of it.

Ah yes, I forgot the newer 04-08 models had the raised letters. Luckily mine are flat.

I like PatriotDecals, their customer service is excellent but I have the overlay on my rear oval and it was a pain to get lined up right....I even ordered 2 just in case, which I did mess the first one up.
I've had the rear oval overlay and the steering wheel overlay on for about a year now and the letters are starting to peel up
