XenonLink Review
XenonLink Review
I called William (XenonLink) on Monday, January 12th. After a brief talk I had ordered the 9007 6000k Bixenon kit for $135 with free shipping. I ordered too late in the day for it to be shipped so it shipped out Tuesday USPS. I received my kit on Saturday, January 17th. Upon receiving the kit, I proceeded to open the USPS box to find what seemed like an unecessary amount of packing material but that's just fine with me. Inside the USPS box was the Relay and another box with the kit in it. Everything was packaged very neatly. So I set off to install them today. The hardest part was definitely finding a place to mount the ballasts. I ended up removing my washer fluid tank and coolant reservoir so I could fit a drill in to mount the brackets for the ballasts. The brackets aren't realy impressive. The ballasts sit a little loose in them and they can easily slide out of the ballasts. There is an adhesive tape of some sort included that I used to help hold the ballast in the bracket. I have no idea if that's what it's for though. When I was pushing a plug into the ballast, I wasn't holding the other side and I actually forced it out of the bottom of the bracket. To me that isn't a big deal as I already stated I used the adhesive to hold it in. After that, it was just a matter of running the wires. Everything is plug and play and all the plugs are idiot proof meaning unless you really set out to do so, you can't plug them in the wrong place. The only thing not plug and play is the wire that runs to the positive battery terminal and the ground wire. Done. They are very bright. The pictures don't capture them very well at all but I tried. Prior to these I had Sylvania Silverstars. I haven't gotten the chance to drive with them at night yet. Pictures are in the shop at work with all lights off and all major traces of light blocked off by tape and cardboard. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and I would not hesitate to purchase from William and Xenon Link again in the future. Everything worked as described. High beams and all. Which by the way, they adjust instantly if anyone was wondering. I was wondering myself how fast the motors would adjust the light since I didn't know anything about HIDs prior to this experience.

Good looking comparison pics esf. Thats kinda funny that you took the coolant reservoir out, cause to me, that was the very obvious place to put the drivers side ballast. HOWEVER, i was on my lunch break and in a hurry, so I had to put mine some where else temporarily. Did it fit really nice one you removed the res.?
Did you adjust the beams so it's not in other driver's eyes? I don't know that much about these things but I've heard that is a must. Are there directions or any mention of doing that in the instructions?

Wow, people post fast around here. Haha. Anyway, the brackes are screwed to the sheetmetal and between the ballasts and the brackets is double sided adhesive backing of some sort that came with the kit. Like I said, I don't know if that's what it's for but it made sense to me. I'm going to keep my eye on it and see if I need to change anything. Aside from the brackets that I think could use some improving somehow, the only other thing I want to mention is that I'd like to see the wire runing to the batter and the ground wire maybe extended.
I was thinking about going out to eat tonight. Haha. I do need gas. The low fuel light came on during my trip to the shop this morning and I didn't want to stop on the way home for gas. Had to swing by my grandmother's house to do some stuff for her and I let the truck run facing downhill, came out and it was off! :o It started back up and I coasted down the hill and proceeded home. Still haven't filled up. I only have to go two blocks and 50% of it's downhill. The girlfriend can push if need be. Haha.
Well, I got the chance to drive at night. I'm very pleased. Definitely brighter. And I didn't get high beamed once. So far so good. Even the girlfriend was impressed and she is never phased by anything I do to my truck.

Sounds great on the lights. Looks like I've got another thing in my future "to-do" list now.......
