Amp research power steps

has anyone had to replace one of the motors on the steps?? I just bought some used steps and the freight company snapped one of the motors in half
I am going to call Amp on Monday, just curious if anyone has any idea on what this is going to cost

i hope you filed a claim with the freight company! they don't give much time to file a claim, if it was me personally i would have refused the shipment. i would hate to see how much that is going to cost.

I contacted the shipper to file the claim, they were packed so tight that I couldn't see the damage until I got them fully unpacked. I am hoping it is not too much. The motors are actually pretty small and half of the casing is plastic if you can believe that

They must have beat the hell out of them to break them in half.... If you had to sign for the package before you opened it they may just tell you that you are on your own. Anything i recieve frieght i always open and check out before signing... signing the dotted line means they no longer are held responsible for the package or condition. Luckily i only had one damaged package from ups, that was an easy claim.

Got ahold of AMP today and they are sending the motor out for 69 dollars. I couldn't believe it and kept asking the guy if we where talking about the same part, but it sounds like we where on the same page. Guess I will know for sure in about 3-4 days....

Not bad. If that's really the price of a motor assembly, I'll pick up an extra just in case!
