PTM Radio Surround Piece

Well I got tempted to piant my radio surround piece on my dash. I started it about 1 1/2 wks ago, and finally got around to finishing it. Got it about as smooth as I could, without going to a pro...:o

Anyways, on to the pics!

Once the clear coat cures, I am going to wipe it down with some Windex, or something to cleam off all the finger prints and what not.

Thanks guys. Question is though, should I put the painted air vents in? or leave the OE painted one? (they are cleaner....)

Thats the one I stock one. I'm saving yours in case I ever want to throw the beige one back in. I kinda like the flush look the one you gave me has...

i painted my surround after i saw this thread, but i went with black. i admit i hated it at first, but its growing on me. i put xlt mirrors on awhile back, around when rita hit, and painted just the caps with krylon. well i hit the whole mirror today with two or three more coats of krylon, and they came out pretty good too.

looks good chris! you did all that today! nice. did you sand the surround any? and did you think about leaving the air vents gray? I'm still debating about whether or not to put my other beige on back in..... IDK!!!
