Grill guard or no?

I'm thinking about taking off my grill guard, but it's been so long since I've seen my truck without it, I can't picture it. What do you guys think? Keep it or pitch it?

your truck looks nice.
Id probably run a bull bar instead but what the hell- switch back and forth whenever you get bored with one set up for too long

I think it looks great with it on. It might be a little boring up front without it.

Take it off and post some more pics!

Cut that ugly junk off. Put it in a box and chunk it. Better yet, I'll even send you a box for it, and don't pay attention to the fact that it is prepaid for return to me, that is just a technicality. But make sure you leave it on your doorstep and let us know when you're done, so we can stop worrying.

HA! LOL...funny, JNC!

Oh, and becker....the back IS level with the front. Just looks like the front is higher. I've got 39" from the ground to the bottom of each wheel well. And what did you mean by "cut the corners off"?

mblouir, if I take that beast off, it's STAYING off! It was such a pain in the *** to put on the first time, it would be a HUGE hassle to take it off just for the sake of a couple of pics for comparison.

Les, your truck looks great too...diggin' the bull bar.

It depends what look you're going for. If you're going to a street look, then chuck it. If you're going for a tougher offroad look then I'd keep it.

I like the look of a bull bar, not a grill gaurd. So by cutting the corners off, it gets rid off the crud around the headlights. I never understood the therory behind those, something hits that area and instead off a busted headlight you now have a bent fender where the gaurd smacked it with a busted light. Still like your truck though

IN VINO VERITAS....there IS truth in wine! Lunger!

Yea....I'm going for the tougher, offroad look now. I've had what were basically "street tires" on the truck for years, and now I've got the aggressive all-terrain tires on there. I'm actually even considering powder coating all the chrome...maybe even the wheels! I even got a quote on how much it would cost to paint it FLAT black. Immediately after I got the quote, I realized THAT was never going to happen.

Keep it.

Edit: But, by taking it off you may get a little better MPG.

unless you actually use it in the woods for what it is made for... I would say take it off. To me, and mind you this is my personal opinion, the brush guard fad is over and now the bullbar has taken over.

I have neither, so I cant be biased

Eh. Fad or no, I got it because I liked the looks of it. In fact, when I bought it I hadn't seen a single F-150 like mine with a grill guard like that on it in person so I was concerned that I wouldn't like how it looked once I got it. I still like the way it looks (and still don't see very many with grill guards, but I do see MANY more with bull bars), but I was just wondering how it would look without it after all the other mods I've done. It was the first mod on my truck.

I dig the opinions though fellas!
