HIDs or New Heads?

So I'm stuck in a dilemma, and need you guy's help to try to come to a decision.

I have the "notorious" one-piece halo projectors, which have crappy light output. I currently have a air leak and will be fixing that soon., in which I will be putting my OEM heads back in. I have Silverstar bulbs in there right now, 4300K I think. I still want that damn "X"/"W" where the light beams overlap to go away!!!!

So I have come up with two options:

1) Stick with the Halos, and buy an H3 HID kit off eBay

Or

2)Keep OEMs, sell the Halos (w/ the silverstar and original bulbs) and use the money to get L style heads w/ Silverstar Ultras/HIDs

either one is a great price

harleys go for about 300 new on ebay, and lightnings go for about 250 new (when available)

I paid 160 shipped for my L heads & corners btw

do the HIDs get rid of the "X" where the light beams overlap?

because I'm really leaning towards those HD lights if I can get them.

I'm going to take a guess that if you're getting an X with halogens, it will probably still be there (might even be more pronounced) with HIDs.
