Looks kick ***!!! I removed all original sealant. Well what I could get anyways.
I put a thick bead on put them and then pulled them together with a ratchet strap. Then added one more layer of RTV. Year later still looks perfect

NOW go do your taillights!!!!

Trust me I want to paint it ASAP...but I hear it will hold and it will not so???

On the tails. I wetsanded w/ 600 to scuff them up good. Clean them down and get all oil/dirt off. spray 3 coats of nite shades. Once dried i wet sanded w/ 1500 and again w/ 2000. Cleaned again and then sprayed 5 coats of automotive clear w/ a paint gun. Next morning I wet sanded w/ 1500 and 2000. Then hit it w/ some rubbing compound and a buffer and then just put a coat of wax on them. I taped off the reverse light just b/c I cant see backing up as it is w/ my tint. Plus it adds some character i think.

It'll hold, just gotta do some prep work before hand, and you'd be golden. I have been wanting to do the same.... but I keep finding other places to blow my cash !

You can do some searching on the site. I think a few guys have given good write-ups on it. If not, PM me, and I can give ya some pointers. I'm no body guy, but we got em here in the shop. Easy enough to ask em.

The last part, I highly agree with. I have seen em done both ways, the most recent being mSall's tint job, where he left the reverse lights and part of his 3rd brake light clear, IIRC. Looked VERY nice.
