Running wire help

Waiting for some lights to come in, my hope is to hook up some LED lights in the bed of my truck.

So thinking ahead here a bit, im looking for some advice in this mod area.

1. Gonna put a switch in the cab, not sure where yet.
2. what size wire should I use, from switch to lights, and switch to battery
3. wonder if I should put a connection block in somewhere and hook that up to the battery and then I could have other terminals available down the road for other things.
4. should I put the block in the cab or under the hood?
5. what size fuse do I need to use.

Thanks in advance

nah, too thick for LEDs. I'd run either 20 or 22 gauge and instead of doing all of that wiring, just run it up to your dome lights.

-OR-

you can mount your switch, but instead of running to the battery, just clip it in-line with your cig lighter fuse (3rd from top, left side, should be 20 amps) and will save you about 15-25 feet in wire.

I agree with Raptor, tap into your dome wire. I did this for my "puddle LEDs". As far as wire, I ran I believe 20g for my power tailgate lock and cigar lighter plug in the bed.
