Lights behind grill
Hey man I have the Hella Black Magic Driving lights behind my grill. Sorry I don't have better pics these are w/ my camera and I am in Iraq so I cant take any better ones. I just used two pieces of 1/4in. angle iron cut big enough to drill the mounts and then I did a terrible job welding the thick slabs to the thin pop metal behind the grill. I am pretty dumb and this was really easy for me. I used the sweet a** wiring harness that hella sent w/ this kit and wired it to my High Beams so I don't have to worry about blinding people. I have never seen the daylighters but I think mine are pretty bright.

anyone have any opinion on the ebay light kit? i would paint the grill but my truck is a KR and the grille is tan so, it would look funky if i painted it black
you guys think 150 watts would be considerably brighter than my stock hi beams?

how much space is there to mount lights behind the grill? The lights I was looking at were really deep... Kinda seems like I need a slim type of light?
Also, could you not buy some of the cheaper lower watt lights and swap out the bulb with a higher watt?

thats what I did. 90% of all fog light kits on the shevles today pack a standard H3 55W bulb. you can get 70W or 100W (like mine) with a blue tint. i suggest getting ticker wire too. my Hella 2020's came with 18 gauge wires. i upgraded to 100W Sylvania H3-ST bulbs, went up to 16 gauge wiring, added two relays, one fuse, and disconnect points on the pos, neg, and ground so I can take them out every month and clean without cutting and resplicing wires. dont forget the solder and shrink tubing!
