The thing is, "what is legal" varies from state to state. The guy who did my tint, told me that as it stands, "ANY" tinting of the front windows, other than what comes stock from the factory, is illegal in CA.

70% is legal on the front side windows in CA.

ANY % is legal on the back window and rear side windows in CA.

ANY % is legal on the top 4" of the windshield in CA.
