grill decisions!
i got a 2000 ext cab 5.4.....i got the stock grill and it looks like ***......faded and gross...i wanted an aftermarket but personally i tihnk they all look tacky...i LOVE the billet on the new body style but not on mine unless its the dark gray color....i got red.....i figured my options were either order a honeycomb (i really like those) or order a billet and paint it black...(i was thinking flat black)....waht do yall think? any better suggestions?
i dont know what its called but its super ugly lol.....its like thick plastic bars making roundish rectangles throughout it....super nasty...but i DID think of just painting my stock one
thats waht i was thinking...but i was gonna do my badges flat black with red inlays.....wouldnt that be weird with a gloss grill?

ya it would. but the flat emblems with also look weird with your wheels IMO. is your grille sounds chrome or painted?
it chrome but i HATE it and working on changing that....i dont want to have to get it painted because its a fortune but i want to like go to a slavage yard or something...iuno ill probably have to get it painted.....and youire right the badges would look weird with my rims...i just want them black but i dont want them to POP ya know?
well you can really paint over the chrome on these grilles. you would have to get a paintable one or find one that is already the right color. i too have the chrome one, but its not that bad.
i think if you paint the emblems black they are going to POP no matter if they are flat or glossy. its a pretty sharp contrast on the red either way. but i think it will look good no matter what you decide

i like the spray because i like the flat....on my old car though....on my truck i wanted glossy and i knew that was hardly possibel with the spray so i jsut bough covers...i liek em cause i can take em off
mine have been wet sanded many times and clear coated. they are pretty glossy now.
