Tranformer! Well...not exactly, but close enough!

Check it out, followed Raptor's badge upgrade DIY and did my front wheels, backs to follow!

So yes, the wheels were done by stripping the factory clearcoat off with aircraft strip, wet sanded the pitting, mothers mag polished with powerball, taped off and painted with high gloss black Duplicolor paint, and cleared with Duplicolor crystal clear. center caps followed the same painting guidelines.

The badges were easy, tape off a 90 degree template on original badge, heat, remove, clean surface and position new badge after sawing off the centering pins, done deal, apply pressure for a few minutes and WHAMO 12 years into the future! haha

CHEERS to Raptor for the DIY and Mark for all of the hints and tips!

I also cranked the torsion bars.

Heres a previous photo to compare the torsion crank, emblem and wheel mods from stock to modded.

Hey guys, thanks for the awesome replies and comments!

I'm not trying to brag but after many hours of work and thinking of how to paint the wheels, and deciding whether or not to change the hubcaps, and decide paint theme, I personally think the wheels came out bada$$ And I am agreeing with shauanakadub, 100x better indeed!

I think that is what I am going to wait and do. I think they would look sweet on the OBS.

Nyford, if you take the topper off, it makes the truck look 100x better. I had one but when I got my license I took it off. Still sitting in the back yard. I will NEVER put it back on, looks grandpa-ish.

Hey guys well it was 80 degrees with about 80% RH! So....I did detail duty for myself...and out of my kind heart I washed dad's truck too!

Raptor, yeah I was thinking of selling the cap, but it is handy in the winter up here...I hate it but it is painted to match so it really isn't THAT bad...

Anyways...
