Exclamation Custom Center Console?

Hi guys,

First time on this site so here it goes.

I am looking to buy (or make) a custom center floor console for my 2005 F-150 Regular Cab with 40 20 40 seats. I have seen pictures of them but have no idea where to look to buy them.

I really like that one but dont know how he made it or where he bought it.

Someone please help me!

i'd take some measurements and figure out the design you want. then when you have all of that figured out go buy some MDF and some carpet or something to match your interior then just measure out your cuts and trace the design lightly and start makin it! then when your done cutting it out woodglue and some nails then test it to see if it fits then if your picky fill the holes and gaps in the wood with wood filler and then put some adhesive and cover it TIGHTLY with the carpet/whatever your covering it with then staple it on the bottom. then put it in and make sure everything fits. just like anything else built out of wood. Thanks to woodshop i know!!!

This is what I made for mine. Just took cardboard and made templates, then made it out of ply wood and got some "pleather" that matched my interior and used spray adhesive to put it on.

Nice work bleedwoutyou!

I was thinking along the lines of making a "mold" out of wood, especially if the finished product has compound curves and then forming a fiberglass "shell" over it. The shell could then be covered or painted.

Its just a general GPS unit. This truck is a chase truck for desert/mexico races and use these GPS units a lot.
