two tone paint

hey guys, I have a rust spot on my third door, and i'm going to get it sanded down and put some navel jelly on it. But i was thinking to do a two tone paint were it's like 8 inches from the bottom and fender flares. My only problem is what color should i do, and should i do the top of my front bumber?

Any ideas are welcome!!!

Thanks,
James

I saw a King Ranch two-tone the other day and it looked great. It was a white top with a copper bottom. He also had his rim hubs matched but that doesn't matter. The white/copper looked really nice (copper like a new, shiny penny).

I love the copper/black look of the HD's. But my fav 2 tone combination is black and charcoal grey

Are you going to do a complete repaint? If so I have always been partial to the white whith dark silver bottom. If your just going to paint the bottom then black or white would both look good IMO. Unless you like the chrome, I would do a PTM bumper.

I suck at it but maybe this will give you somewhat of an idea.

Of course you could rhino- line the bottom. Several guys on here did that. Looks tough and is to!!!

Thumbs up

I just picked up my new '08 on Saturday and it is black with chrome bumpers and silver along the bottom panel from bumper to bumper. Just "pops".

I think it would look great with silver flares and a silver strip across the bottom.

I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of my two tone and going all black... Maybe going with black Line-x Or Rhino lining would be a more durable, and possibly cheaper option... anyone have pics of a truck that's been line-x'd?

ok well i played with it for a while and couldnt get it to look right... but if you want to keep the chrome then get the silver line-x if you want to go black the black the chrome part of the bumper and from the line on the door down.if you want all the bumper black then you will need to also have the fender flares line-x to match

line-x and rhino liner is a spray in bed liner! i prefer line-x over rhino but they are both good products and will deffintely add style and protection to your truck, im getting my brush guard done soon!

Don't apologize, it was good work!

I think I'd go for something more "silvery" on a blue truck though. And, it would match the original bumpers.
